State budget cuts have consequences

The state of Washington tried to save some money by reimbursing pharmacies for Medicaid patients below the drug’s break-even value. Pharmacies actually lose money filling prescriptions for Medicaid customers in Washington. Now Walgreens and other pharmacies are pulling out of Medicaid by refusing to accept new customers who rely upon Medicaid. Wait ’till the other Washington gets word of this…
